I seem to be drawn to poetry at the moment as a way of sharing what's in my heart and on my mind. I went through phase of writing them regularly a while back ... and it feels like the time to share!

The wisdom of me
In a world of chaos and turmoil
A world of distraction and disruption
There’s just one thing that matters –
The wisdom of me
My journey is a long one
Full of twists and turns, denials and refusals
But amidst all that messiness
I always come back to the wisdom of me.
My soul knows where it’s been
It knows what it’s done and seen
It explains the inexplicable
It explains the wisdom of me.
When my heart is hurting or lonely
When it yearns for something more
My soul soothes its partner in crime
The wisdom in me
If ever I’m lost or afraid or broken
I know I can always come home
In the silence of thought
To the wisdom of me.
