Humble Phoenix-01.png

As humans we’re all evolving and growing constantly. Through the physical changes from childhood to adolescence, adulthood and old age; the emotional ups and downs of life, change and transition; and the spiritual reckoning we experience when confronted with questions of meaning, purpose and the bigger picture.

“The highest rung of what's possible is far beyond the world you can see” – Trevor Noah

The Phoenix is a beautiful metaphor for this journey we’re on. It is a majestic guide and instigator of change. Through its fire it brings renewal and re-creation. It gives us hope, strength and protection.

No matter where we are and what we’re going through, we can reinvent, rebuild and reshape our lives. It’s a transformation that starts from within and is supported by the tools and processes offered by Humble Phoenix. We can explore, uncover and heal what’s holding you back and connect with your soul for guidance and support. Healers across the world have been leading people through this work generations, and in our stressful and chaotic modern lives, simple tools like Reiki, meditation and flower essences become even more valuable to calm the body and quieten the mind, so we can truly listen to our soul.

“I’ve died a thousand deaths, each time reinventing myself brighter, stronger, and purer than before.
From the midst of destruction, I became the creator of myself.
From the midst of darkness, I became my own source of light.” - Cristen Rodgers

But all this amazing phoenix power needs to be balanced with humility. It’s the yin to the phoenix’s yang. It’s the reminder that we are all equal and all working through our own challenges. As humans we are all connected to each other, the world around us and the greater, universal consciousness – and it’s through humility and compassion that this system functions best.

We are each learning and growing in our own time, we’re never perfect and always a work in progress. Humility is a central tenet of Reiki practice, and allows for the creation of a nurturing healing space that activates your confidence, inner strength and innate healing powers.

“We have to stop and be humble enough to understand that there is something called mystery” – Paulo Coelho

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some passion,
some compassion, some humour and some style” – Maya Angelou

Who am I? Where is my life going?

What's stopping me do what I want to do?

Why does my back ache all the time?

How can I be a ‘better’ person, while also embracing and loving who I am right now?

These are questions I’ve pondered for much of my life - as most of us do! I’m naturally curious and love to learn and explore ideas - through books, TED talks and study. But sometimes isolation, hibernation and food were how I dealt with my confusions and frustrations. I spent a lot of time looking outside of myself for the answers. Sometimes I found them, but was also good at blaming anyone and anything else for why I was unhappy and felt so stuck.

Slowly I came to realise that all we can truly control and change is ourselves. And that when we invest in uncovering our own truths and expanding our curiosity about these questions and all the others in our hearts, our potential is limitless. When we take intentional action,  and align our lives with our true selves, the Universe will meet us half way.

Bit by bit, tear by tear (oh the tears!), I’ve been working through years, generations and lifetimes worth of ‘stuff’. There have been moments of great clarity as I listened to my body and intuition; and releases of tension and fear as I worked through mental or emotional blocks and unhelpful beliefs. I've found myself more in touch with my intuition than ever before, connected to both my own story and the power of nature and elements around me. I've found contentment, peace - and dare I say happiness. I'm truly hashtag blessed.

But I’m a work in progress, and so are you!

Wherever you're at right now I want you to know you're not alone and I’d love to help you dive into the healing you need - to unpeel the layers of your own life and support you to better understand yourself. Through processes of self-inquiry and healing, through tears and laughs and a little self-love, we can bring more balance and joy into your life.
